Purpose: Students should learn about the general information of a Country and learn how to find it using a browser.

No. of Classes

Depending upon the class strength and availability of computers. (Two classes for 20 students and 5 computers.)

Internet connection, Open office.

    Students should know how to find information using a browser.

    Create a table in a Spreadsheet with the following information nicely formatted. Fill all the empty cells with the details from the Internet.

    Teacher's Instructions
    1. Teachers should check whether all the information filled by the Students are correct.
    2. Teachers should teach how to find the above information online, before giving the exercise.
    3. For example-1: If we want the capital of Brazil, the student should type “capital of Brazil” in the search bar and then press the Enter key.

      Example-2: Which country uses Yen as its currency?

      Example-3: Which country has Berlin as its capital?

      Example-4: Vladimir Putin is the president of which country?

    4. Teacher should finally check whether the information filled in is correct.

      5. If Student had typed Russia in the row with Vladimir Putin as the President, then the teacher can type ‘President of Russia’ in Google Search and then press Enter key. If the answer from the search is Vladimir Putin is the answer then Russia is the correct answer.
